It all started out on a Tuesday morning in the Spring of 2023. Two moms came together at a local cafe to discuss homeschooling and enjoy some caffeine without any interruptions. They were preparing for the academic year ahead and shared their goals and values with one another.

One topic led to another and they eventually found themselves immersed in the wonderful world of literacy, fueled by their love of children’s books. Their dream was to create an Arabic and Islamic library for their own children and children of the community. THAT was the day that Kunooz Library was born.

This dream started in the heart of Northern New Jersey, which prides itself on being a very diverse area. With the help of authors, publishers, and bookstores across the world, Kunooz carries a strong selection of Arabic and English Islamic books for children.

Kunooz Library is membership-based and operates out of Clifton, New Jersey. Our goal is to provide access to these high-quality books to children in our community and to serve as a model for other communities to emulate. Together, let’s unlock the treasures of reading!
