Ruba Qasem
Ruba Qasem is the director and cofounder of Kunooz Library. She has been a member of the Board of Directors since the inception of Kunooz in 2023. She is also a children's book author; her book "The Coolest Career" was published in 2022.
Ruba received her Bachelors of Science in Education and her Masters of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She has been working with children for two decades in different capacities. She is also a mother of three.
Reem Qasem
Reem Qasem serves as Treasurer of Kunooz Library, where she volunteers her time and supports the organization's accounting and financial management efforts. She holds a Master's degree in Accounting and brings more than seven years of experience working with nonprofit organizations.
In addition to her nonprofit involvement, Reem is the owner of Perfectly Planned by Reem, where she helps clients create memorable and well-organized events. She enjoys using her accounting skills to support the financial operations of organizations that serve the community.
As a board member, Reem is committed to supporting the mission of Kunooz Library and helping ensure its continued growth and positive impact within the community.
Ali M. Rizwan
Ali Mohammad Rizwan is the author of the first Muslim superhero noveland comic MetalGhost and Muslimah superhero Lady Nusaybah.
MetalGhost has won the prestigious NYC Big Book Award, the Fofky's Reader Choice Award for 2024, and Finalist for American Legacy Book Awards 2025 .
In January 2025, Alhamdulillah I was honored at the State level by New Jersey State Assembly in Trenton as an author for MetalGhost and for being a young trailblazer in the Muslim community.
Hafsa Taher
Hafsa Taher is a business coach and marketing strategist with 15+ years of experience growing brands, building community programs, and leading organizations through change.
As a former Entrepreneur in Residence at Toronto Public Library, she brings hands-on experience serving diverse communities — and is eager to contribute her strategic and operational depth to Kunooz's next chapter of growth.
Khadija Boughroum
Khadija Boughroum is cofounder of Kunooz Library & Homeschooling Mom of 4. Passionate about Islamic education, intentional learning, and gracefully surviving the beautiful chaos of parenting!
